What you need to get started is: distilled malt vinegar, goggles to protect your eyes, a pipette, a few film canisters, bicarbonate of soda, a small scoop/teaspoon and some Eppendorf tubes (or something of a similar size/shape). 1. Please wear safety goggles and get anyone observing to do the same (this is because the popping film canisters can take you by surprise and also travel some distance as you will see in the clip). 2. Pour a tea spoon of bicarbonate soda into each of your film canisters. 3. Use your pipette to extract some white vinegar from your bottle. 4. Use your pipette to put some malt vinegar into your eppendorf tube. 5. Slowly drop an Eppendorf tube into each of your film canisters. 6. You can now seal your canister and give it a good shake 7. The canisters should pop relatively quickly in quick succession.
