Head Squeeze had a live G+ Hangout on Thursday 12th September especially for the Loebner Prize for Artificial Intelligence 2013. In this hangout Head Squeezer, Dan Schreiber, spoke with inventor and event sponsor Dr Hugh Loebner, and the botmasters of this year's contestants - Bruce Wilcox and Steve Worswick. Dr Richard Wallace of Pandorabots also joined in Dr Wallace won the Loebner prize before with his ChatBot ALICE, and three of the four finalists are now using the underlying technology behind ALICE. We asked Mitsuku a number of YOUR questions and this is how she fared! We asked Mitsuku, Is there alien life? And she answered: Yes, it would be strange if the earth was the only planet in the entire universe that had life on it. We had another question from Sandman730, who wants to know who is Mitsuku's favourite Star Trek character? Kirk or Picard? She said my favourite character is the computer, the disembodied computer voice unusually female we hear in the background. The next question was: Why am I tired after a long sleep? Mitsuku had a bit of trouble with this question, we were able to confuse AI! But Steve knows about the blip and is able to work on it for the competition on Saturday. The final question was: What is under my bed? And Mitsuku very cleverly answered: Something that doesn't want to be found.
